A.J. HERNANDEZ is an Associate Attorney at the firm. Mr. Hernandez earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Philosophy from the Florida State University in 2016. He then attended Florida Coastal School of Law on a full scholarship and earned his Juris Doctorate, with certificates in Civil Litigation and Legal Research and Writing, in 2019. At Florida Coastal School of Law, he earned the Dean’s Scholar Award, received the Martha Sonnenschein Memorial Scholarship award, and was invited to join the Harding Inn of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. Mr. Hernandez competed as part of the Moot Court Honor Board (nationally ranked #7), competing in one national mock trial and seven national moot court competitions, and winning Best Petitioner’s Brief in the National Latino Law Student Association’s Moot Court Competition. He was elected to serve as Moot Court Vice President of External Competitions. Mr. Hernandez also served as Vice President of the Hispanic American Law Student Association. Mr. Hernandez is licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia.

At the firm, Mr. Hernandez is involved in all aspects of the firm’s general civil litigation practice, including railroad, maritime, trucking and transportation, personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage and bad faith, and commercial litigation. As one of only 4% of U.S. lawyers of Hispanic descent, Mr. Hernandez is proud to provide legal services to our Spanish speaking clients.

A.J. and his wife Hazel live in the Holiday Hill area of Jacksonville.
